A Chester Volunteer Fire Department truck is a blur as it speeds along Pleasant St. and turns on to Duke St.

June 14'th,Chester--------------------------The local fire department responded to an erroneously called in alarm. It turned out to be a fire in a backyard chimenea that neighbors thought was a house on fire when they saw the smoke.
chesterns.ca would like to caution would be Good Samaritans to check out potential emergency situations before you jump to a false conclusion unless of course it is an obvious emergency. False alarms tie up valuable time and resources and put unnecessary wear and tear on vehicles and other equipment.
