ABOUT THE COMMISSION
THE VILLAGE OF CHESTER presently has 5 elected commissioners who each serve a 3 year term. The mandate of the commission is to represent the electors of the Village of Chester as regards the Chester Volunteer Fire Department primarily. We also own and operate the Chester Lido Pool, as well as own and maintain the Jibb Lot. We cover the operational cost for the street lights throughout the village, and the hanging flowers and wreaths.
We hold regular monthly meeting every second Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm above the Fire Hall. The public is encouraged to attend. We also have an annual General Meeting in early June to elect new commissions and inform rate payers of the past years activities.

Logo Contest
Winning entry will receive:
-a framed reproduction of the new logo
-a gift certificate for $100 to be spent at the Village vendor of choice
Entries will be judges based upon design elements, including colours and sinplicity for reproduction.
Winning entry will be "tweaked" by a professional graphics artist, so this is open to anyone, regardless of artistic ability. WE NEED YOUR CREATIVITY!!!!
